songwriter-songwriter: Day One

Hello Visitor!
I'm so glad you dropped by. I'm just getting out of the closet- in the sense that I've been writing songs for historical re-enactments of Cajun history, an anthem for Assumption University in Bangkok, Christmas chorales for the US Army Chapels Heidelberg and Schweinfurt, Germany, and a music for a Passion Play, a middle school operetta, a middle school version of Renard the Fox, a score for New York University's Educational Theater, a piece for the NOW feminists show in New York (1971), music for the Greer Garson Theater at the College of Santa Fe, and I even wrote a musical commercial for my own music business in my Louisiana hometown, but I've never published anything on the web, or done any music for film or TV. I'm 72, retired, and I'm looking for something I can do without too much physical exertion, since I have a hard time getting around and can't get by without a cane. I'm also very hard of hearing, so I can't function very well in a classroom any more after a fifty year career in education. Very little gives me more pleasure than writing nice songs and publishing them and hearing people sing them and react to them very emotionally, so I guess it's time I turn away from science teaching and academic editing and newspaper writing and settle into yet another dream job, writing and performing music. So here goes! You can look for my Ballad of Sam Bede and my Sam Bede Blues on YouTube right now - they have gotten some attention and at least one five-star rating, and I've just started 4 days ago. I sent up one more song today, and still have several more to record on video. I work alone, so it's a bit of a slow process, but not as slow as building a Boeing jetliner, right?
To get to Sam Bede, etc., go to YouTube and look for DrHanzonScience, a name left over from my science days. You can even find the YouTube file on my science site,
http://getyourhandsonscience.com (the link is on the link about music, but about half way down, beneath the lyrics. I also have a music website, http://that-hands-on-music-guy.com, where you'll find me again. Please visit my links and be sure to comment and rate me. Anybody that wants to be really good needs feedback!
